Emails Shut Down Government Servers: Congress Won’t Get The Point
Written by K. Evan Buckley on August 14th, 2009
The server and site for the United States House of Representatives was overloaded Thursday as constituents sent emails protesting the health care reform that many in the government are proposing.
Most people who have a functional brain and a basic understanding of a budget know that nationalized health care would do much damage to our already strained economy. But apparently, those in congress neither have a functional brain or an understanding of what a budget is. While they are blinded by party devotion and are fill with infatuation of the president, they ignore the damages nationalized health care will do.
Government leaders like Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid, will blame radio talk shows and Fox News for inciting the email bombardment. They will miss the point. It’s not Rush Limbaugh’s fault that people sent emails. It’s not Hannity’s or Beck’s fault. The number of irate emails were due to the idea of nationalized health care. Congress won’t get that point though. Instead of reevaluating their values and principles, they cast blame on others. That’s what most politicians do, both democrat and republican.
Despite what politicians think, Americans are not stupid. We can smell manure miles away and right now Washington reeks of it. We can see past the slight of hand, and the unfounded blame of others.
A Dog And Pony Show: The Sotomayor Confirmation
Written by K. Evan Buckley on July 14th, 2009
Don’t get caught up in the circus. It’s all political posturing and sanctimony. We all know what the result will be once the confirmation hearing is completed: she will get into the Supreme Court. Democrats will ignore her controversial statements and questionable decisions and republicans scared of hispanic votes, won’t aggressively oppose her.
President Obama has become the dictator of the Democrat party. Once he speaks, the party members execute his will. They are puppets and
Al Gore Duplicitously Compares Fighting “Global Warming” To Fighting Nazis
Written by K. Evan Buckley on July 9th, 2009
In Oxford on July 8, Al Gore, as usual , attempted to sound prophetical and begged politicians to summon the spirit of Churchill, Britain’s leader who fought against Nazis and Hitler. Gore said, “Winston Churchill aroused this nation in heroic fashion to save civilization in World War Two. ” He went on to say that it was a difficult challenge to convince the world that the threat of global warming is as dire as the threat of Hitler during WWII.
That’s not a challenge Albert—that’s idiotic. Hitler was . . . .
Values And Principles: The Foundation Of The Family
Written by Anthony Young on July 2nd, 2009
Values and principles are essential in establishing and maintaining a family and a country. But as you can guess, the values discussed in this article will focus on the family.
What are values and principles? They root us, guide us, they support us, they define us, they grant us a moral compass. They provide families with a strong foundation of defense against the seductive power of worldly vices such as pervasive sex, drugs, . . . .
Immoral Congressmen Pass “Global Warming” Bill Without Reading It
Written by K. Evan Buckley on June 26th, 2009
Today, The House of Representatives passed the “global warming” bill without knowing what was in it. A 300 page addition to the lengthy bill was dumped in The House at 3:00am earlier this morning and no one read it in its entirety. Representative Joe Barton of Texas asked if there was any complete copy of the 1,201 page bill in The House at the time. His question was dodged repeatedly.
The bill’s creators and supporters claim that it . . . .
Assaulted Values: Why I Will Never Watch Family Guy Again
Written by Joshua R. Thomas on June 25th, 2009
I never call to boycott TV programs. I have better use of my time, plus I feel that boycotting can turn to bullying rather quickly. Howard Stern was bullied off the air for being offensive—hey, that’s what he does! That’s why some people like him. He’s obscene. If you don’t like him, turn the channel!
That is what I have done for Family Guy. When the show was first . . . . .
What An Average Citizen Thinks Of Nationalized Health Care
Written by K. Evan Buckley on June 24th, 2009
Before I delve into my opposition of national health care, I must preface my argument with a plea for intellectual thought. Last night on my local evening news I saw a heart-tugging puff piece about an unfortunate restaurant owner who has been laying-off employees due to the cost of health care. The restaurant will more than likely close in the distant future, but the owner is traveling to Washington to assist in President Obama’s national health care idea in hopes it will benefit his restaurant business.
Tonight, during ABC’s President Obama infomercial regarding national health care, there will be stories told by President Obama about many . . . .
The Cancer of Political Parties
Written by K. Evan Buckley on June 22nd, 2009
What is the difference between the Democrat party and the Republican Party? The party signs—that’s all. The lines that previously separated the parties have become so blurred and misrepresented that there is no real difference. Today, both parties are focused entirely on power and party-interest so much so that they should both change their signs from the donkey or elephant and should both use the sign of the jackass. . . . . .
Senatorial Pomp and Conceit Is Far From Being Bankrupt
Written by K. Evan Buckley on June 18th, 2009
Q: What is a difference between God and a California senator?
A: God doesn’t think he is a California senator.
On June 16, at a Capital Hill hearing concerning the New Orleans levees, Senator Barbara Boxer of California showed her pompous vanity. During the contentious hearing, Brigadier General Michael Walsh was respectively referring to the congresswoman as “Ma’am.” Characteristic of Sen. Boxer, she imperiously responded, “Could you say . . . .
Drinking Kool-Aid With President Obama: The Media Love Continues
Written by K. Evan Buckley on June 17th, 2009
With growing discord rising over President Barack Hussein Obama’s national health care plan, ABC is going to allow the president a 1 hour televised town hall meeting with no dissenting view points of the health care bill. Why do these media elites bother to feign objectivity anymore?
While previous administrations were in power, media outlets had no . . . .
